I can remember my first dream. It was about having my own horse, but I would awaken and go to my bedroom window to find no horse standing there. Many times my mother would have to talk me back to sleep as I lie in bed crying that I wanted my own horse. My passion for horses grew stronger over the years. My bedroom (while growing up and even now that I am older), is decorated with many pictures of horses I have owned and loved.

I have shared my love for horses with my daughter Crystal and granddaughter Abriana. I have been fortunate enough to fulfill my dream, not only having one horse but eight, all with their own unique stories that I often share with friends.I have also been blessed with a home and acreage to keep them on where I can see them every day. There are many children in the area who have the same passion and dreams but unfortunately are unable to fulfill them for one reason or another. This is why Little Tykes Rodeo was created.

I am determined to give the children of the community an opportunity not only to ride in a rodeo but shine as well. No one will leave without a ribbon in the 1st Annual Little Tykes Rodeo founded March 1st of 2008. I will never forget my first ribbon; it meant so much to be able to do something I love and get rewarded too. This Rodeo is also to thank the horse community, family, and friends for the support I have received over the years that I have lived in Pleasanton.

Sincerely,

Horse Crazy
